What We Don't Do
We do not normally take on cases unless they clearly concern an educational SEN or Disability issue. We also do not take on cases unless we consider that we can genuinely help a client.
It is also very rare for us to take on a case from someone who already has a solicitor but who wishes to transfer their case, especially if that solicitor is someone who practises in our areas of law.
In addition, we do not deal with the following types of cases:
- University Students unless the case clearly concerns Disability Discrimination (please seek advice from another solicitor specialising in Education Law)
- Admissions/Exclusions (please seek advice from another solicitor specialising in Education Law)
- School Transport (please seek advice from another solicitor specialising in Education Law)
- Education Negligence against schools and LEA's (please seek advice from another solicitor specialising in Education Law)
- Breach of Contract claims against Private Schools (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Contract Law)
- Bullying or Accidents causing injury at School (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Personal Injury Law)
- Private Prosecutions against parents for failing to properly educate a child (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Criminal Law)
- Disability Benefits (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Welfare Benefits Law)
- Race & Sex Discrimination (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Discrimination Law)
- Care of Children (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Family Law)
- Medical Negligence (please seek advice from a solicitor specialising in Clinical Negligence Law)
You should be able to get general legal advice or find a solicitor who can deal with one of the above areas (who also undertakes Legal Aid cases) by using CLS Direct.
